siem reap art galleries

Travel+Leisure Magazine recently named Siem Reap, Cambodia as the new arts capital of Southeast Asia - in line with Bali and Singapore which has long held the crown... One of the reasons probably is because of Art Venues, a publication showcasing the best of Angkor's numerous art galleries and booming art scene...

Copies of the Art Venues are free and are found on almost all major hotels and establishments...

Kuya Joven, do you think there will be a chance for Manila or any city in the Philippines to become an arts center in SEA just like Bali Siem Rep and the others you mentioned?
I think it could be done, but I guess we need people like you to go back home and make it possible.....

I guess if arts lang ang pag-uusapan, Manila and the rest of the Philippines has a lot to offer. What we lack from there are the diversity of artists (local and international) and also the lack of people who support the arts.

That's why I find it great to be here in Cambodia because they have a good balance of that.
